Life Events
We are here to help you with the following times in life.
At every stage of life, we are to to walk alongside you. Whether you are celebrating a joyful beginning, marking a new chapter, or saying goodbye to someone you love,
Weddings
A church wedding is a beautiful and meaningful way to begin married life together. In the presence of God, family and friends, you make lifelong promises of love and faithfulness.
Our church provides a welcoming and prayerful setting for your special day, and our clergy will guide you through every step of the planning process, helping you create a service that reflects your relationship and your faith.
Whether you are regular worshippers or simply feel drawn to be married in church, we would be delighted to discuss your plans and explore whether you qualify to marry here.
Baptisms (Christenings)
Baptism is a joyful celebration and an important step in the Christian journey. Through baptism, we give thanks for God's gift of life and welcome children and adults into the family of the Church.
Many parents choose baptism as a way of giving thanks for their child and seeking God's blessing upon them. During the service, parents and godparents make promises to support the child in learning about the Christian faith and growing in God's love.
Baptisms usually take place during one of our Sunday services, allowing the whole church family to share in the welcome and celebration.
If you are considering baptism for yourself or your child, we would be pleased to meet with you and talk through what baptism means.
Funerals
Losing someone we love is one of life's most difficult experiences. At such times, the Church offers comfort, prayer and hope.
A Christian funeral gives us an opportunity to give thanks for the life of the person who has died, to commend them into God's loving care, and to support one another in grief. Whether the funeral takes place in church, at a crematorium, at a graveside, or a combination of these, we are here to help you plan a service that is personal, meaningful and dignified.
Our clergy and pastoral team are available to offer pastoral support before and after the funeral, and we continue to remember those who have died and those who mourn in our prayers.
